Last year I was more creative and maybe had more time to make something special for Easter. I want to share some of these ideas with you. This year it will be easier because I still have the decorations and decoupaged eggs. The only thing I want to try more is to paint eggs in our traditional Lithuanian way – with wax, but it seems to be so difficult. If I could do something like this:
yeah.. in my dreams 🙂 One talented lady in Lithuania did that – Irena Cibulskiene. I think I will never learn but I can try 🙂
2 years ago our Easter eggs looked like this:
and we had a great time eating them on a sea side! Oh, it was so warm then..
Last year our Easter eggs looked like this 🙂 I decoupaged a regular egg box and it was a perfect place for them to arrive on the table.
One thing is super easy and super fun to do with your kids – making chocolate nests with eggs. You just melt chocolate, mix it with neat wheat (or cornflakes), form nests, put them in a paper for cupcakes and put some chocolate eggs on top! My girls just love them.
I try to have more yellow in the house because it just brightens my eyes up especially when there’s not so much sunshine outside.
This Salmon cake was made by my friend and it is just unbelievable!! I’ll make a better photo next time.
And of course Easter Granny comes to us every year. She leaves some sweet and sometimes not things outside for us to look for. Here’s the idea how you can make Easter baskets from plane paper plates and gift wrap paper using stapler and sticky tape.
